What might Northern Soul sound like if it were emerging today? What happens when you take that same urgency, melody and spirit, then push it through a more contemporary production? We call it "Northern Bass", and I'm so excited to share it with the world.

He may be a new name, but his gospel-drenched voice is rooted firmly in the great soul tradition: warm, assured and effortlessly smooth.
The A-side, “Forever Lovin’,” is a brand-new Riker song already making its presence felt on the dancefloor, thanks to the lucky few who managed to get hold of advance pressings. Mid-tempo, uplifting and built to move, it takes the emotional pull of Northern Soul and drives it somewhere familar but new.
Flip it over and Gresham delivers a completely different take on “Baby, You’re Key To Me,” first released on Riker by Nolan James. This time around, the song is rebuilt around a deep, groove-heavy soul production, blending basement-soul atmosphere with smooth drum-and-bass energy to create something fresh, modern, but still unmistakably Riker.
Once again, Riker is proud to support the Stax Music Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, and pledges the artist’s share of royalties on all vinyl sales to help nurture the next generation of soul stars. To date, we’ve donated more than $6,750 to the Academy’s work, providing music education, mentoring and performance opportunities for young people in Memphis.
